520 Review(s)
AVG Rating: 3.5/10

There’s a diet supplement that’s being marketed around the internet, and before you decide to try it out, we recommend reading our review first. Why? We review supplements in order that people might know what they’re getting into, so that they’re not caught unawares by product quality, ingredients, or legal problems with the companies that make them. This short outline will give you an idea of what to expect from the product, and whether it’s right for you.

Alphamine Overview

Alphamine is a diet drink that’s sold as a way to increase energy and promote fat loss. It’s sold as a powder that you’re to mix in with water.
theoryofknowledge.net/wp-content/languages/new/essay-online.html

Each pack comes with 84 servings, and that pack should last the average user about a month and a half (although this could change depending on usage). The formula contains natural and artificial ingredients, and comes in several flavors including “appletini,” “fruit punch,” and others. One pack costs $50, although there’s a 5% discount if you decide to “subscribe” to receive the product regularly from the main website.

Alphamine is made by PEScience, a company that specializes in workout supplements that’s based in Florida. They have a large selection of products that are intended for all stages of working out. We tried to look them up on reputable business directories like Better Business Bureau, so that we could get a sense of their customer service history – we couldn’t find any. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, there is a lack of transparency here that we don’t usually find.

Alphamine Claims

Alphamine is supposed to do a number of things, some of which are hard to parse. They claim that it contains “igniting technology” and contains a “hardening agent.” The “igniting” part might have to do with a claim that it increases energy and metabolism – sounds about right to us, so we’ll go with that for now. The “hardening agent” couldn’t have to do with the powder itself, since it’s supposed to mix with water, so maybe it means to helps you tone up and get harder muscles? The only unambiguous claim they make is that it increases energy which can help you work out harder and longer for better and quicker weight loss.

Alphamine Ingredients

Alphamine has a fairly small list of ingredients, which are listed below:

  • Caffeine
  • L-Leucine
  • L-Carnitine
  • Choline
  • Theanine
  • Ferula asafoetida

Caffeine is the most popular stimulant in the world, derived mainly from tea leaves and coffee beans. It can cause some side effects, however, which can include jitteriness and insomnia. L-Leucine is an amino acid that can help create muscle fiber. L-Carnitine is an amino acid that can help increase your energy levels. Choline is a nutrient that helps with brain function and muscle function, but since there’s currently “no reports of choline deficiency in the general population” there’s no real need for choline as a supplement (EFSA Journal, 2024).

Ferula asafoetida is a plant that’s used as both a food and a medicine, known for its foul taste and bad smell. There’s “insufficient evidence” that it has any medical value at all, however (WebMD).

The Science Behind Alphamine

The caffeine and l-carnitine in this product appear meant to help users feel more energy, that seems to be about it. We’re not sure why choline has been added, since there’s no real need for it as a supplement except in the rare occurrence of choline deficiency. Ferula asafoetida is mainly used as a way to stimulate nerves and blood flow, but since there’s little proof that it works, we’re not sure why it was added to this product.

Overall, it doesn’t look like any of the ingredients in this product will make you leaner or lose weight faster – it seems more likely to come from the exercise you do while energized from the product. However, if you just need energy, there are cheaper ways of going about it.

Word on the Street About Alphamine

While we weren’t able to find more than one review on their website, we found some on Amazon. This product has its supporters, with some saying that “it tastes good” and “it seems to work as an appetite suppressant.” Others said “it gave me lots of energy” and “helps you lose weight.

Many customers aren’t satisfied, however. “It didn’t have much of an effect” said some, while others say they “can’t tell” if it works or not. “It didn’t do much as an appetite suppressant” another said.

Here are the most critically-acclaimed nutritional shakes for meal replacement.

Is Alphamine Worth Trying?

We don’t see much of a reason to use this product. Why? Well, it seems to only contain ingredients that can help increase energy – but that’s all. It doesn’t contain any ingredients that are known for burning body fat or increasing your metabolic rate. It seems to definitely have stimulant properties, but that’s about it. At of cost of $50, you’re going to be getting a product that will have about the same effect as a cup of strong tea or coffee. Surprised? Well, looking at the ingredients, it’s no wonder some people saw little difference in their waistline while taking it.

There are other supplements out there that contain ingredients that are especially supposed to work on your body fat. Try those. Avoid Alphamine.

Alphamine vs OxyShred

These are both drink mixes that are supposed to lower your body fat, as a part of a healthier diet and exercise regimen. Alphamine mostly contains ingredients that act as stimulants for more energy, while OxyShred contains ingredients that are supposed to spur your body to burn existing fat stores. OxyShred is more expensive from what we’ve seen, however, at around $60 for one pack (while Alphamine is about $50 when not on sale).

Alphamine vs Norcodrene

These supplements are both made by the same company, PEScience. Alphamine and Norcodrene are both touted as “thermogens” (increasing your body’s heat output for burning fat), and both contain caffeine, though Alphamine contains slightly more per serving. They have slightly different formulas, with Norcodrene containing kola nut (extra stimulant) and chromium, while Alphamine doesn’t. Both products cost roughly the same, from what we’ve seen.

Alphamine vs Super HD

These products are both supposed to help you burn fat faster. At a glance, Alphamine costs more than Super HD in general. Super HD makes more claims about what it’s supposed to do, claiming it can help reduce the appetite and help you with “nootropics” (supplements that optimize your mental capacity).

Super HD contains a huge amount of ingredients, including some notorious ones like yohimbe. Both contain decent amounts of caffeine in their formula.
