Cellucor Super HD Overview

Cellucor Super HD is a weight loss supplement that's supposed to help you lose weigh by giving support to both your mind and your body. It's a natural supplement that contains vitamins, caffeine, and herbal extracts. It retails for $49.99, but is on sale at the main website for $29.99. You're supposed to take two pills a day – one in the morning, one in the afternoon – and you're not supposed to exceed 3 a day.

Cellucor Super HD is made by Cellucor, a fitness supplement company based in Texas. Despite the slick advertising, this company is not what it appears to be. They were the target of a class-action lawsuit back in 2016 that charged them with “falsely marketing” their supplements for being able to promote increased strength, muscle mass, endurance, and athletic performance. The claim? They hadn't provided the evidence. Not a good start for a supposed scientifically-sound company.

Cellucor Super HD Claims

Cellucor Super HD's claims are a little different from other diet pills. On top of claiming that these pills increase your energy, boost fat loss, and help to control your appetite, they're also supposed to affect your mental state by giving you focus and a sense of well-being. By putting all of these characteristics into the product, it's supposed to being an all-around more effective product than its competition.

With the addition of the “mental” aspect, Cellucor Super HD claims to help not just the body, but the mind as the source of willpower.

Cellucor Super HD Ingredients

Cellucor Super HD has a lot of ingredients. Below is a partial list:

  • Green Tea Leaf Extract
  • Vitamin B12
  • Blue Whiting protein extract
  • Yohimbe
  • Cayenne
  • Caffeine

Caffeine is a diuretic, meaning it can help you shed excess water weight, as well as give you the energy to work out more. Vitamin B 12 is linked to improved metabolic processes, and has been linked to higher energy levels as well.

While green tea leaf extract is a decent source of antioxidants, and there are those who claim that it has weight loss benefits – but where's the proof? We couldn't find any, instead coming across a paper (Astrup, A, et al: “The effect and safety…” Int J Obes, 1992) that found green tea to be no better at promoting weight loss than a placebo. Yohimbe is an extract derived from the African yohimbe tree, but it's supposed to be dangerous: it's been linked to “rapid heart beat, kidney failure, and heart attack[s]” and is considered “possibly unsafe” (WebMD).

We've done the research, and these are the best weight loss pills available for purchase.

The Science Behind Cellucor Super HD

The company claims that Cellucor's ingredients are supposed to increase your metabolism, especially green tea, but as we've seen, there's little proof to support this claim. Caffeine can give you energy and make you feel more awake, and it's possible that that's part of the “effect” that the company ascribes to these other ingredients.

Aside from the vitamin supplements included in these pills, there don't seem to be any other ingredients that have much actual use, and at least one – yohimbe – is actually dangerous and shouldn't be taken by anyone. Including yohimbe is a serious sign that they've slept on the science portion of their product.

Word on the Street About Cellucor Super HD

Cellucord Super HD does have its supporters. We checked out reviews not only on the company's own website, but on Amazon as well, and found good and bad reactions. “It gave me more energy and helped me lose weight too” claimed one five-star reviewer. Others claimed it “saves money” since it's “much cheaper” than other alternatives.

Other customers didn't think it was worth it. “Turns out I lost weight because of my discipline, not the pills” said one, while others went on to say that “it made my blood pressure spike dangerously high” and that it “made me feel paranoid.” Does it burn weight, though? Some had bad news on that front: “I lost no weight while on this pill.

Is Cellucor Super HD Worth Trying?

There are very few reasons why you should take this pill. For one, it comes from a company that's been accused of misleading customers and possibly mislabeling their products. Second, the formula in the pills contains very (if any) ingredients that are proven to have any effect on energy, metabolism, or weight loss at all. It also contains yohimbe, an ingredient so dangerous that it's banned in Europe. While there are customers who like it, there are many who don't, and they report negative side effects with no weight lost.

If you're thinking about your health first and foremost, you should probably avoid this pill.

Cellucor Super HD vs CLK

These are both Cellucor products. Both of them are supposed to increase metabolism and promote fat loss. They also both claim to suppress the appetite somewhat, and both contain the same blue whiting protein isolate. Super HD contains caffeine, which CLK doesn't, owing part to CLK's claim that it's a “stimulant-free” way to reduce body fat. They both cost around the same price at the moment, $29.99, and both are available from the Cellucor website. CLK requires you to take three pills per day, while Super HD is intended for only 2 a day.

Cellucor Super HD vs C4 Ripped

Both of these products come from the same company, Cellucor. C4 Ripped is a fat-burning pill meant for bodybuilders, while Super HD seems meant more for the everyday person who doesn't necessarily go to the gym all the time. Super HD is supposed to affect your mental clarity, while C4 Ripped deals purely with the body. Both products contain caffeine, herbal extracts, and vitamins, although C4 Ripped has a wider variety of vitamins in its formula.

Cellucor Super HD vs Hydroxycut

Both of these products claim to do the same main thing: make you lose weight quicker. Cellucor Super HD claims to suppress the appetite, however, while Hydroxycut primarily claims to make you more energetic. Both contain lots of caffeine, but Cellucor Super HD contains more in terms of vitamins. Cellucor Super HD advises taking two pills daily, while Hydroxycut claims that doses will vary with the customer: some people should be taking only one a day at first, then moving to two if they need to (possibly making Hydroxycut last longer). Hydroxycut is cheaper at around $20, while Super HD costs between $29.99 and $49.99.
