AVG Rating: 3.0/10

Not all products are guaranteed to work when you're in the market for weight loss supplements. Pills and products that promise results don't always do the job, which is why you need to make sure you're informed about what's being sold. Today, we decided to look into one such product that's been making the rounds on the internet, in an effort to figure out if people should really trust what the product's company says about it. Is it true? Read on to find out.

Here are the Top 10 most-recommended pills that can help burn calories.

Mancore Overview

Mancore is a pill meant to help the body burn fat more quickly. It comes in capsule form, and comes in bottles of 120 pills. The serving recommendation is 1 pill twice a day (once in the morning, once in the afternoon) with a full 8-oz glass of water. As such, each bottle should last users for two months. This product costs $49.99 per bottle, slightly less than many of the similar products we've seen for purchase. The company offers different types of product: “Total Fat Burn,” and “Testosterone Replenish,” as well as multi-supplement packs that contain other supplements from the company.

Mancore is made by Complete Nutrition, a nutritional supplement company based in California. This company doesn't have any lawsuits pending against it, nor do there seem to be any outstanding customer service complaints about them. This is in contrast to many other companies whose products we've reviewed. That said, we don't know much about them beyond their website, and they don't seem to have much of a presence beyond their online shop.

Mancore Claims

Mancore claims to help people “transform” their body by helping it to burn fat more quickly. The ingredients are supposed to be effective to this end. Other ingredients are supposed to help promote higher energy levels in the body, as well as improve the metabolism. They claim that the ingredients in this product achieve these ends without raising the blood pressure or increasing heart rate. That said, the nutritional information includes claims that the product must not be taken alongside other stimulants (even coffee and tea). They also claim that “sports competitors” must take care in using this product. Why? Our next section will explain.

Here's a list of the best new diet pills on the market.

Mancore Ingredients

Mancore's ingredients include the following:

  • Synephrine HCl
  • Green Tea Extract
  • Caffeine
  • Green coffee bean extract
  • Yohimbe bark

Synephrine is an extract of the bitter orange fruit, used as a stimulant – and claimed to be a fat-burning compound. It's also associated with significant heart risks (LiveStrong). Green Tea extract is made from green tea leaves, is supposed to cause the body to burn more fat. It's also been associated with heart problems, as well as side effects like vomiting and diarrhea (WebMD).

Caffeine is a stimulant used for energy. Green coffee bean extract is supposed to help accelerate fat loss, but comes with side effects like insomnia, jitteriness, and anxiety. Yohimbe is a notorious plant extract used as a stimulant that is considered “possibly unsafe” due to its association with kidney failure and heart attacks (WebMD).

The Science Behind Mancore

The synephrine in this product is supposed to “elevate the fat-burning potential” – a claim they never really expand on. Caffeine and green tea extract are supposed to provide energy, while the green coffee bean extract is supposed to prevent your body's absorption of glucose, with the expectation that it will force your body to burn fat for energy instead of glucose. Yohimbe is supposed to also enhance thermogenesis.

While caffeine definitely gives you energy, there's “insufficient evidence” synephrine helps with weight loss, and the same goes for yohimbe (WebMD). All of the products are basically stimulants, but there's little proof that they specifically block glucose and promote fat burning in the body.

Word on the Street About Mancore

We wanted to see what customers think of this product, so that we could figure out if it's worth trying. Unfortunately we didn't find any sources of customer reviews on any third-party sources like Amazon, GNC, or Walgreens, meaning we were limited to the three reviews on the product's official page.

Works great for me!” one customer said, while the others said it “gives me steady energy” and “the best weight loss pill ever!

Note how short the reviews were, how few there are (only three total!) and how none of them were specific about how this product helped them lose weight. These reviews, despite being positive, still don't actually give us much to go on, and lead us to believe that the product might only be good for making you more energetic (and not lose weight faster).

These are the finest diet pills on the market.

Is Mancore Worth Trying?

We wouldn't suggest anyone try this. It has nothing to do with the company itself, which appears to have a pretty clean reputation. No, the problem is with the product itself. If you're going to take a health supplement, you need one that's going to be safe. This product, on the other hand, comes with dangerous yohimbe and synephrine, and seems to only contain ingredients known for their stimulating properties (caffeine, green tea, green coffee bean) and none that have been proven to help you lose body fat.

If you want a safe and effective way to help yourself lose more body fat, you should definitely stay away from Mancore until they change their formula.

Mancore vs Charger

These products are both made by the same company, but  have some differences. For one, Mancore is meant to be taken as one, while Charger appears to be intended to be taken as a three-part supplement (“Drive,” “Cuts,” and “Night”). Both contain largely herbal ingredients like yohimbe, caffeine, green tea, and ginger (among others). Mancore specifically says it can help you lose body fat, while Charger claims to also help recharge your testosterone levels. Mancore is still available for purchase on the main website, while Charger seems to be out of stock most places.

Mancore vs Nugenix

These are both fitness-related products, but both have differences between them. Mancore is an herbal product intended to help men lose extra body fat while training, while Nugenix is an overall male enhancement pill that claims not only to make men feel stronger and have more drive, but also to have more sexual vitality. Both cost around $50, but while Mancore seems to only be available from the company's official website, Nugenix can be purchased elsewhere – including on Amazon. As a result, there are more customer reviews available to read about Nugenix.
