Red Fortera Review (UPDATED 2018) – Is It Safe?

AVG Rating: 4.4/10

At $15 per pill, this is one of the most expensive products we've ever seen. Worse, it's not even justified by the ingredients (meh) or the customer response (not great). Want to know more? Check out the review below for our in-depth look at Red Fortera:

Red Fortera Overview

Red Fortera is a supplement for men that's supposed to increase their levels of testosterone. Developed by New Solution Health and Cosmetics, it's marketed as a safe, effective way to help men gain more energy, shed weight, and develop a killer sex drive. It's supposed to be especially effective for men who are getting older.

This supplement contains mostly natural amino acids and herbal extracts that are supposed to help men to maintain a healthy level of testosterone in their bodies. But is it all it's cracked up to be?

Red Fortera Claims

This product follows the same sort of formula of many products that claim to help you get better in bed: you have testosterone just waiting to be unleashed, and with the special properties of the ingredients in this supplement, all that testosterone will start flowing through your body and give you harder abs, rock-hard erections, and the stamina to go all night in bed. Lots of men who have problems with their sex drive love this idea, because it seems like a simple solution to the problem. And what's more, this product promises that it's all-natural and just helps your body do what it does normally, only better.

They also call Red Fortera “the fountain of youth” – this is a huge promise.

Who makes Red Fortera? They're called New Solution Health and Cosmetics, LLC, and they claim to provide “safe alternatives to prescription drugs,” using the ideas of nutritional supplements as a safer and more natural way for people to heal and treat illnesses and physical problems. Sounds great, but … do they make any other products? With a description like that, it sounds like they want to take over the supplement world and have the intent to do so, but the only product we've found in conjunction with them is Red Fortera. There's also no trace of them anywhere except in connection with Red Fortera, and no Better Business Bureau profile.

With no real presence online, it's impossible to see what their history of customer relations has been, or if they have qualified people running the company. When buying nutritional supplements, you need to make absolutely sure that the company is trustworthy, and right now there's not enough information to go on.

One thing that stands out about this product: the number of pills. Most testosterone supplements tell you to take two or three pills a day, and provide enough to last a month, meaning 30 or more. Red Fortera only offers you one pill at a time for $15 – only one pill! You can buy more, but that'll cost you more: $40 for three capsules, and a stunning $90 for six capsules. This is definitely the most expensive price per-pill that we've ever seen, and there are no promises telling men how long each pill lasts (individual results “may vary,” they say), meaning there's no way to tell what sort of value you're getting.

They also want you to sign up for a free trial, which sounds like a good deal – until you learn that you have to sign up for an auto-billing scheme that charges your card automatically for a whole pack (which costs $88.97!).

Red Fortera Ingredients

Red Fortera has a decently-sized list of ingredients. Here are some of the main ones:

  • Kre-Celazine
  • L-Arginine
  • Mucuna Pruriens
  • Taxadrol
  • Cayenne
  • Tribulus

Kre-Celazine is a patented anti-inflammatory ingredient made from fatty acids – at least, that's what we think. We checked the main website and couldn't really figure out what was going on through all the technical jargon. Apparently it consists of a large number of different plants and herbs in combination, including boswellia, ginger, and quercetin. We've never seen any reference to this ingredient anywhere else, meaning it's very new, and potentially doesn't work.

L-Arginine widens blood vessels, allowing blood to flow through them more fully. It does this by transforming into nitric oxide once it's metabolized. It's naturally found in the diet, but can also be prescribed in supplement form.

Mucuna Pruriens is a plant that contains L-DOPA, which is one of the “precursors” for dopamine. It's been used as a treatment for a range of uses, from low sex drive to Parkinson's.

Taxadrol is another patented ingredient made by the same people who made Kre-Celazine, and supposedly it triggers the body to produce more testosterone. How? Even they don't know. They admit it right on their website that “we can only hypothesize” as to how it works – yikes. We personally wouldn't want to trust anyone who didn't understand their own ingredient.

Cayenne, in addition to being a spice, is supposed to be a natural pain reliever. We're not sure why it was included in this supplement, though, and they don't give us an explanation.

The Science Behind Red Fortera

If you want science, Red Fortera isn't exactly going to please you. It looks like a large proportion of their ingredients either have no explanation for how they work, or they just don't make sense as a part of this supplement.

Let's start with Kre-Celazine. It's a product developed by “All American Pharmaceutical,” which sounds more impressive than it is. We looked around and found out it just consists of herbal extracts, nothing more. The main website for the ingredient has a lot of text, mostly describing what inflammation is, and goes into some very minor detail telling us what Kre-Celazine is supposed to do, which is to decrease it. This possibly has to do with the boswellia in the mix, which lots of natural health people claim is a natural anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. But the problem is that there isn't much proof that it works, with the few studies supporting it having used only specific formulations of it (WebMD). The science is slim. It also contains quercetin, which is a plant pigment and an antioxidant. What good does that do, though, in a testosterone product?

Taxadrol is another ingredient that makes us wince. The only science behind it is a study carried out by the company that made it, in which 3 men took the product and supposedly saw “dramatic” testosterone level increases (All American Pharmaceutical). One study, 3 men. That's it. I don't know if the guys over there know this, but such a weak study (and we're not told all the details about it) isn't enough evidence to justify the use of this product.

Another thing we're curious about is why there are so many painkillers and anti-inflammatories in this product. If they wanted to focus on testosterone production, why didn't they just do that?

Word on the Street about Red Fortera

Red Fortera has a decent amount of reviews on Amazon. That's good, because people need to see what large groups of people think about products before they buy them, as this is a decent marker of whether the product works. The bad thing is that the reception has been pretty mixed, with a huge percentage of people giving this supplement only 1 star:
“This supplement is pretty weak. It definitely doesn't compare to Cialis, or Viagra.”

“These pills don't last very long. My husband took it a few nights in a row, and it didn't seem to work so well the second time.” (This person mentioned that they received the supplement for free in exchange for a review).

“This does everything it promises to. I'm glad I bought it!”

“This really doesn't work.”

“This is awesome. My girlfriend definitely isn't complaining. Five Stars.”

There are about 90 reviews to wade through in total, but the overall impression we get is that this product will definitely not work for everyone

Is Red Fortera Worth a Try?

Red Fortera contains some decent ingredients, like l-arginine and tribulus terrestris, but the other parts of this product weigh it down. For starters, the company has no real presence online, and despite claiming to sell numerous nutritional supplements, we saw nothing related to them at all. Since they have no real presence, it's hard to tell if they're legit or not. Several of the ingredients in the product itself either have weak evidence for working (Kre-Celazine, Taxadrol) or no real business being in the pills at all (cayenne). When a pill is crammed with pills it doesn't really need, or that work for other purposes than promised, it can weigh down the product and make it look less appealing. It's also expensive, costing $15 per pill at the lowest.

But in the end, the customers decide, and it's clear that overall, people aren't really pleased with the product. When almost half of the people who take your product rate it 3 stars (or fewer) out of 5, you've got a problem on your hands.

In the end, we think you should steer yourself towards more impressive supplements with better ingredients, more trustworthy manufacturers, and a better customer reception.

Red Fortera vs Viagra

Well let's start this off by making a clear distinction here: these products are not the same at all. This is for a few very important reasons. First, Red Fortera is a nutritional supplement, meaning it is not regulated by the FDA and doesn't need a prescription to buy: if you have the money, you can purchase as many as you like. Viagra, on the other hand, is a drug. This means you need a medical prescription to get it, and it also has a huge effect on the cost. How much of an effect? It can cost over $600 per bottle to buy Viagra (it comes out to about $44 per pill). Red Fortera, on the other hand, costs $15 per pill. Not cheap, but definitely cheaper.

Red Fortera is also less likely to cause side effects, although it's still possible even with herbal extracts and plant products. Viagra, on the other hand, can come with serious side effects that include dizziness, nausea, loss of vision, and hearing loss. That's why you need to see a doctor first – you may be more or less likely to get one of those side effects depending on your medical history and unique biology.
