Animal M Stak Overview

Animal M Stak is a men's performance supplement from Universal Nutrition. It's meant to help men gain muscle more efficiently, and to support all parts of the active body, including the sex drive. It's aimed at men who want to operate at peak performance and unlock their potential when they've hit a plateau. It's meant to be all-natural, which this company thinks makes it safer and more usable by the body.

Is Animal M Stak really the powerful product that Universal promises it to be? We found some arguments for and against using this stuff, but in the end we realized that this is not the miracle product it's made out to be.

Animal M Stak Claims

This is one of those products meant mainly for men who are weight training and trying to pack on more lean muscle mass. It's supposed to consist of ingredients that can promote the synthesis of proteins more efficiently, making it easier to put on muscle. Other ingredient help the body by increasing the receptiveness of the body to nutrients, while some of the herbal ingredients are supposed to support a healthy metabolism and sex drive. Since it's all-natural, the ingredients are supposed to not only be safer, but also more effective than synthetic ingredients. With the bodily support this product gives you, you're supposed to see an improvement in your workouts, your development, your biology, and your libido as well.

Animal M Stak makes a very scientific case for itself, using lots of references to enzymes, protein synthesis, growth hormone, and nitrogen retention, placing it ahead of other supplements that seem content to make a bunch of claims without really planning to prove exactly how they're supposed to work.

These claims are being made by Universal Nutrition, a supplement company that's been around for a couple decades and has dedicated itself mainly to helping bodybuilders with products that are meant to efficiently help people gain muscle, recover more quickly, and make their body work like a a well-oiled machine. They've clearly put a lot of time and money into making sure they have a professional presentation, which shows in their marketing, branding, and their own websites.

Since this stuff is meant to be taken for three weeks “on” (with the following week being “off”), you only get 21 servings with the average pack. Given the cost for this supply – $35 – and the fact that for best results Universal Nutrition wants you to use more than one of their products at a time, you're looking at some expenses that could quickly pile up. It would be different if Animal M Stak was the only supplement you needed, but since Universal claims you should also be using other products like Animal Pump and Torrent at the same time, it could get expensive. It's a pity, actually, because lots of guys would probably prefer Animal M Stak to be an all-in-one product, but unfortunately it really isn't.

Animal M Stak Ingredients

Animal M Stak has a lot of ingredients in it – over 20 – so here are some of the primary ones for reference:

  • Turkesterone
  • Beta sitosterol
  • Taurine
  • Muira Puama
  • Safed Musli
  • Banaba Leaf
  • Ginger
  • Theobromine

Turkesterone is a compound found in insects that's similarly structured to an anabolic steroid, without technically being one. Despite the promising idea, it turns out its not as effective as promised.

Beta sitosterol is a plant extract that's been seen to reduce cholesterol buildup in the arteries, but Animal M Stak says it regulates cortisol levels and helps with hormonal processes – is that true, though? We'll get to that in a bit.

You might recognize taurine from energy drink labels, but in M Stak it's supposed to assist with protein synthesis – and the resulting muscle tissue creation.

Muira Puama is a plant with its origins in the Brazilial jungle, and it is marketed as a treatment for problems with menstrual flow and stomach pain. One of its main uses, however, is the treatment of low sex drive in both sexes.

Safed Musli is an aphrodisiac used in traditional Indian medicine, with very little evidence that it works.

Banaba Leaf comes from a Southeast Asian tree that is supposed to help the body regulate blood sugar levels. What we learned though is that, like some other ingredients in this supplement, there's not a lot of evidence that it has any real use.

The Science Behind Animal M Stak

While some of the ingredients in this product have promise, there's a problem with some of them that could harm the overall effectiveness of the supplement.

Turkesterone is structurally similar to hormones, but before you go off and start thinking this is a safe alternative to steroids, you might want to rethink things. Even though studies have been done on it, they've shown that subjects showed no real improvements in testosterone levels, muscle gain, or cortisol levels (“Ecdysteroids,”

Beta sitosterol is a fine ingredient, but it seems to be included in this product for the wrong reasons. It's typically used as a way to prevent high cholesterol by blocking it from entering the body, as well as a way to reduce inflammation in the prostate, but here they say it regulates hormone levels. We didn't find any evidence that it can do that, nor anything else to do with hormone-related processes like the sex drive (“Beta-Sitosterol,” WebMD).

Safed musli is an Ayurvedic herb that people claim helps you with your sex drive, but it turns out the evidence just isn't there yet. While some trials on animal have shown some promise, there aren't enough conclusive trials that have been done with humans to show that it even works (“Chlorophytum Borivilianum,”

Banaba leaf is another problematic ingredient – while there is a study showing a positive effect on blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes, other research had more mixed results, and that over all there's “insufficient evidence” that it works (“Banaba,” WebMD).

These sorts of problems are not alone enough to condemn Animal M Stak, but they do reveal that the company behind this product may be misinformed about the ingredients in their own product, which doesn't reflect well on Universal Nutrition.

Word on the Street about Animal M Stak

We knew it wasn't just important to know what was in M Stak, but also to know what customers were saying. After all, if a product works, it's hard to argue with, which is why products that have overwhelming acclaim are pretty good bets if you're a first-time buyer. There have been lots of customers, and there are some decent reviews from some of them:

“Saw some great gains in muscle size, plus fat burning, all in less than a month. Good energy levels.”

“This is great. I use it consistently and it's been giving me the results I expect from it.”

Other people aren't as thrilled with it:

“This made me feel sick after using it. Not going to use it again.”

“The ingredients seem to be of good quality, but it just doesn't work for me.”

We noticed that while people typically commented on their muscle mass gains and endurance levels, we didn't see any reviews that covered whether it had an effect on their sex drive, so men looking for an overall enhancer might not find what they're looking for with M Stak.

Here are the best male enhancement products, all on one list.

Is Animal M Stak Worth a Try?

This isn't the worst product we've reviewed. The company is professional and put some time and effort into their products, clearly, and they've taken the time to understand some of the science behind how some of their ingredients work. However, there are some problems that we saw with this product that make us less enthusiastic about it.

First off, this product doesn't do enough. The company knows this, which explains why they tell us to take it with other products. All in all, this reduces its value, because suddenly you're paying $35 for a supplement that only does a small array of things, meaning that if you want the best results, you have to buy even more products. Some customers even mentioned the price as being one of the reasons they stopped buying it.

The ingredients overall seem okay, but there are a couple ingredients included that either were included for the wrong reasons (beta sitosterol) or have almost no proof that they work in humans, which limits the usefulness of the supplement. Also it contains no vitamins or minerals, so again, you're going to have to buy more products in order to get what you need for an all-around performance enhancement supplement.

Animal M Stak isn't “bad,” it's just a little disappointing. Men who want to maximize their physical potential are going to want a one-stop shop for their needs, and Animal M Stak isn't that. Its focus is too narrow to justify the price tag. It just doesn't tick off enough boxes to make it worth buying month after month, unless, of course, you have extra money to burn.

Animal M Stak vs Animal Stak

These supplements are both made by the same company, Universal Nutrition, and despite the nearly-identical names, they're a little different. M Stak is aimed at promoting muscle development only, plus some minor functions associated with immune system health and sexual health, while Animal Stak is focused more on hormone regulation and function. Both of them cost around $35 (more or less) for a 3-week supply, and both are supposed to contain natural ingredients.

Since they're intended for different purposes, the company says that you can take them together for better effects overall, although that coincides with one of our gripes about M Stak – the fact that it's too narrow in its focus to be worth the money – and so the same complaint could be made about Animal Stak.

Animal M Stak vs Steroids

Both of these products are intended for men who want to develop themselves to their physical peak, but they do so in different ways. Animal M Stak is based on the idea of using natural, gradual processes to help your body produce more growth hormone and synthesize protein more quickly. Steroids, on the other hand, are synthetic, laboratory-made chemicals that are structurally similar to testosterone and induce the body to do a number of things related to testosteronic activity, from muscle building and appetite stimulation to sex drive enhancement and preservation of lean muscle.

Animal M Stak comes with few if any side effects, while the side effects of steroids are many, including erectile dysfunction, hypertension, immune system problems, and depression. M Stak is also a supplement, meaning it's legal to buy over-the-counter. With steroids, you need a prescription for them, otherwise possession is considered a crime.

Animal M Stak vs Prime

These are fairly similar supplements, but their focus is different. M Stak is focused on muscle building, while Prime is supposed to be a general, all-around workout supplement for added energy and endurance. You get more in a pack of Prime, with 30 days worth of servings, compared to Animal M Stak's 21. M Stak contains more ingredients overall than Prime. They're pretty comparable in price, too: Animal M Stak costs about $35, while Prime costs around $40 depending on where you buy it from.
