Testosyn Overview

Testosyn is a supplement made by XPI Supplements, LLC. It’s meant as a testosterone booster, using natural ingredients to support the body’s nature testosterone production to pump it up to the levels it’s supposed to be at. It’s intended for men who want better performance in the gym, and is also supposed to help men’s libidos – by promoting more testosterone, your sex drive is supposed to go through the roof, turning you into a sexual dynamo, and boosting your overall confidence.

This product comes with a money-back guarantee, and is supposed to be more effective than any other competing natural testosterone supplement. But is it really? We’ll take a look at why this product, and the company behind it, isn’t exactly trustworthy …

Testosyn Claims

Like most other natural testosterone supplements, this product is filled with ingredients that are supposed to engage the body’s natural hormone producing sites, boosting and increasing the total output of “free” testosterone, so that it can go to work on all those things which testosterone is associated with: muscle building, the desire for sex, fat loss, and energy. Surely this would make anyone’s life better, right? And what’s more, it’s based in “natural” ingredients, meaning it should be healthier and come with fewer side effects – at least, that’s what people typically think when it comes to natural ingredients.

Let’s look at the company, first. The company’s name is XPI Supplements, LLC, a Utah-based supplement company. They sound pretty classy and scientific, and their main website contains links to a bunch of different supplements that they offer. Unfortunately, this company has a lot of problems.

We first noticed this on the main product website for Testosyn. Right there at the beginning of the page, it suddenly starts talking about a product called “DVX Pro Liquid,” and we we confused. Why are they talking about a totally different product on the Testosyn page? We looked up DVX Pro Liquid on Google, and sure enough it turns out it’s a product from the same company with the same. Exact. Website. The design, the layout, everything is identical except the text. Our guess is that they lazily copy-pasted the website’s code and changed some of the text to make it about Testosyn, without taking the time to make a new website. They made a rookie mistake when they forgot an entire paragraph that was left over from the previous page.

We checked their profile at the Better Business Bureau, as well. Guess what? They’ve got a “D” rating, with numerous customer complaints about things not being delivered and other customer service gaffes. Given what we’ve read, it’s hard to recommend these people.

Here’s a list of the best male sexual supplements, based on critical reception and customer satisfaction.

Testosyn Ingredients

Testosyn has a big list of ingredients. Here are some of the main ones provded:

  • D-aspartic acid
  • Fenugreek
  • Tribulus Terrestris
  • Horny Goat Weed
  • Maca
  • Eurycoma Longifolia
  • Boron
  • Bioperine
  • Zinc

D-aspartic acid is an amino acid found in some foods (mainly soy-related) that’s supposed to promote more testosterone in the body by directly activating the parts of the brain that make it. Many testosterone supplements use this as their flagship ingredient, and make a lot of the one scientific study that “proved” that it increased testosterone in the patients by 42% in a short amount of time. Sounds amazing, right? Well it’s not the whole story. But we’ll get to that.

Fenugreek is supposed to be good at increasing testosterone production, and it’s been a popular libido stimulant possibly due to this effect. It’s also been used as an anti-inflammatory.

Zinc is a mineral that’s associated with improved immune function, and some health practitioners say that this ingredient correlates to higher testosterone levels, but that’s not necessarily true.

Maca is a plant from Peru used in supplements that have to do with hormones, sexuality, or mood improvement. It’s supposed to affect the hypothalamus and affect hormone production. One the thing we don’t know and haven’t been told by XPI Supplements is the exact type of maca plant they used here. Why’s this important? Some maca works best for women, and others with men, but we’re left without any of this information.

Eurycoma longifolia (Tongkat ali) is a plant used in Indonesian and Vietnamese folk medicine for treating a low sex drive in both sexes. Some people claim that this plant inhibits the amount of estrogen in the body, which can allow for more testosterone to affect the body, and increase the libido.

The Science Behind Testosyn

The primary active ingredient in this product is d-aspartic acid, a common ingredient in lots of different testosterone supplements. That’s because these supplements want to use the fact that it’s been the subject of a clinical study that “proved” it worked to increase testosterone, and in a saturated market like the supplement industry, every little bit of credibility counts. While there was one study that showed a 42% increase in testosterone, it was only one study, and its results have not been seen in all such studies (Topo, et al, 2024). In fact, other studies have shown zero effect (Roshanzamir, et al 2024). When you’ve got only one study, and under less-than-ideal circumstances, you don’t really have an air-tight case, do you?

Zinc is mostly harmless, but it’s generally included in male supplements like this with the claim that it will increase testosterone levels. The only study we’ve seen that says this (Prasad, Mantzsoros, et al, 1996) actually says that higher levels of zinc don’t show correlation with higher levels of testosterone. If it helps, it doesn’t help in any measurable way.

Boron is another mineral that people claim can increase testosterone, but there’s not enough evidence that it works – only two studies show any correlation, and even there, there’s not enough information to make any definite claims (Examiner.com).

Word on the Street about Testosyn

Testosyn reviews can be read on Amazon, and right away when you look at the breakdown in ratings, it’s clear: this product isn’t popular. Only 43% of people gave it 5/5 stars, and about 42% of customers gave it 3 or fewer, which isn’t good.

Let’s take a look at what some people are saying about it:

“This didn’t work as well as some other products that we’ve tried for helping my boyfriend’s libido. I guess we’ll have to keep looking.”

My husband loves this product. He uses it all the time, and it gives him a lot of energy.”

“This helped me get a better sex drive, but man, it makes me need to use the restroom all the time and forces me to drink water. Basically, it seems like I can’t retain water. It also hurts my stomach.” (And this person gave it four stars!)

“My husband got heart palpitations after using this product. We returned it.”

“This didn’t give me any good results at all.”

Is Testosyn Worth a Try?

Testosyn has a lot of problems. Some of its main active ingredients have no science to back up claims that they work, despite this company trying to convince us they’re “proven” to work. The company itself has a terrible customer service history, and we wouldn’t recommend anyone buy from a company that has a D-rating from the Better Business Bureau. Lastly, and most importantly, customers don’t seem to be impressed. Whatever else seems to be problematic, this is always going to be the most important thing to look at when it comes to products: customer satisfaction. If it works, people will love it. If they don’t love it, there’s probably a reason.

We suggest buying from more reputable companies that not only have better customer service history, but whose products have higher ratings and a better chance that they’ll work.

Testosyn vs Nugenix

The main difference between these two products is what they’re marketed for: Testosyn seems to be meant for athletic and sexual stimulation, while Nugenix is marketed as a way for men over 50 to boost their fitness. Nugenix also offers a free trial, which Testosyn doesn’t, but this comes with an auto-charge policy that makes it less desirable. Nugenix is available at Walgreens, GNC, Walgreens, and Vitamin World, while Testosyn is only available from Amazon and its company’s website.

Testosyn vs Testofuel

Testofuel and Testosyn both concentrate on boosting testosterone, and while they both market themselves as a way to get more gains in the gym, Testosyn adds that it can help the sex drive as well, which Testofuel doesn’t. Testofuel comes with a 90 day guarantee, while Testosyn only comes with a 60 day guarantee. They contain similar ingredients, including d-aspartic acid and vitamin D, but Testosyn comes packed with more aphrodisiacs like horny goat weed and tongkat ali.

Testosyn vs Syntheroid

These products are extremely similar, and that’s partly because they’re made by the same company, XPI Supplements. Their formulas are almost exactly the same, except that Syntheroid doesn’t come with vitamin D or zinc as a part of its mix. For some reason Syntheroid isn’t listed on XPI’s main website, possibly meaning that they’ve tried to distance themselves from it for some reason. Other than that, these products are almost identical, both in their formulas and in the effects they’re supposed to have.

Testosyn vs Everlasting T

These testosterone boosters contain similar ingredients, but Everlasting T contains way more of them, 15 to be exact. It contains not only d-aspartic acid, vitamin D, and BioPerine, but also other ingredients like avena sativa, banaba leaf, and cissus quadrangularis. Everlasting T is much cheaper at $36.99, but it also has far fewer customer reviews, and they’re much poorer.  The dosage size is different, with Everlasting T requiring 3 capsules to be taken per day to see the promised effects, while Testosyn requires you to take 6 pills a day.

Testosyn vs Prime Male

Prime Male is another natural testosterone supplement that uses plant ingredients and natural chemicals to get the body to produce more testosterone, and like Testosyn, it contains boron, d-aspartic acid, and BioPerine. Since the active ingredients are pretty much the same, there’s no telling if one is more effective than the other. Prime Male costs $69 for a one-month supply,  making it only a little more expensive than Testosyn, which is $59.95 per month. Prime Male has a slightly more professional web presence as well, but since that doesn’t translate to results, we can’t say if Prime Male is “better” than Testosyn.
