  4. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, 1/4 cup of butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla; beat with one mixer at medium speed till well combined. At a time add eggs to sugar mixture; beat carefully after each addition. Then, add pumpkin; mix well.
  5. Fold in flour mixture. Now spread batter into one baking pan (13 x 9-inch) coated with cooking spray. Then, bake at 350° for about 25 minutes or till one wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Completely cool in pan on one wire rack.
  6. To prepare the frosting, in a medium bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of butter, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, and cream cheese; beat with one mixer at medium speed till combined.
  7. Gradually add that powdered sugar, beating till well combined. Evenly spread frosting over the top of cake.
